Christmas Lights Switch-On

The city lights up with Christmas animations, street theatre and short films on the weekends of Nov 26th/ 27th and Dec 10th/11th, while the famous Foyle Film Festival (Nov 23rd to 27th), features the usual world-class mix of premieres, documentaries and workshops and even a special ‘Harry Potter Day’ where you can bring the boy wizard to life with your very own animated short film sequence!  Click here for more info on events...

Magnificent Music

The ‘City of Song’ presents another sumptuous musical line-up this Christmas. Don’t miss Handel’s Messiah, plus a feast of choral masterpieces from our acclaimed local choir Codetta, at the Mayor’s Christmas Choral Concert at Derry Presbyterian Church on Dec 22nd. Other musical highlights include the WELB Youth Orchestra and City of Derry Junior Choir taking you through the Snowman and other seasonal delights on December 15th and the St Columb’s Cathedral Choir Service performing in aid of the Mayor’s Appeal three days later.
